What to expect for a guided fishing trip

Beaufort,South Carolina Guided Fishing Trips

Fishing in the Low Country of South Carolina is always exciting, and we are lucky enough to have great fishing year-round! Captain Jon specializes in sight fishing and practices catch and release in order to preserve our special fishery.

Based out of beautiful Beaufort, SC, we have six to ten foot tidal swings every six hours. We have an extremely dynamic fishery offering different styles of fishing. Depending on the time of year, you could be fishing a low tide looking for schools of Redfish belly crawling with their backs out of the water, or you could be fishing a flood tide flat looking for Redfish tailing eating crustaceans off the bottom.

Generally, trip times and location are based on the time of the tides and/ or around the daily weather. Captain Jon will reach out to you upon booking a trip to discuss options. You may also call or email Captain Jon at (770) 826-0966 or with any questions or concerns.

Each trip is priced per boat with up to two anglers in a boat. Multiple boat trips can be arranged with enough notice. Prices are $500 for a half day (4 hours), $600 for a 3/4 day (6 hours), or $800 for a full day (8 hours) with the 3/4 day being our most popular

Species- In the late fall, winter, and early spring, we are primarily targeting Redfish and Speckled Sea Trout. Late spring, summer, and early fall, we are targeting Redfish, Speckled Sea Trout, and Flounder, but we also have the opportunity to chase Jack Crevalle, sharks, Triple Tail, and Cobia.

Types of fishing- Primarily we will be sight fishing, which can be extremely rewarding and exciting! We typically target these species with an 8wt-11wt fly rod, but artificial light tackle (spin fishing) is also used and available. With large tidal swings, we have the potential to fish low tide flats, creeks, flood tide flats, and everything in between. *All trips with Indigo Fishing Charters practice catch and release*
