The Razmataz is a wonderful local pattern originally tied by Raz Reid. I love this fly specifically for the fall and winter to imitate shrimp when we are sight fishing on the flats here in Beaufort. However, this can also be a great year round pattern you always want in your box!
If you like to tie your own flies, check out the video I did with Capt. Rob Alexander on how to tie the Razmataz. It is a fairly simple fly to tie and easy to put your own twist on it. If you do not have one of the specific materials, you can make substitutions. I think the important thing about this fly, as well as other flies I fish, is the size, weight, and then the color.
Enjoy!
